One Manga Bids Goodbye

Every manga lover knows One Manga, the site where you can read free manga online. But now due to the stance of manga publishers One Manga will gradually remove its manga content from its website.  Read the message below from Zibi of One Manga.

“There is an end to everything, to good things as well.”

It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it. We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site. The removal of content will happen gradually (so you can at least finish some of the outstanding reading you have), but we expect all content to be gone by early next week (RIP OM July 2010). So what next? We’re not really sure at this point, but we have some ideas we would like to try out. Until then, the One Manga forums will remain active and we encourage all of you to continue using them. OMF has developed into a great community and it would be a shame to see that disappear. You can also show us some love in this moment of sadness by ‘liking’ our brand new Facebook page. It would be nice to see just how many of you came to enjoy our ‘better than peanut butter and jelly’ invention.

Regardless of whether you stay with us or not, on behalf of the One Manga team, I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years. Through the ups and downs you have stuck with us, and that is what kept us going. As a certain Porky was fond of saying… That’s all folks! Time for me to go lay down and let this all sink in. – Zabi

Kamandag Mountaineers

Mahilig ba kayong umakyat ng bundok o pinapangarap nyong umakyat ng bundok? Masarap sigurong umakyat ng bundok kasi nakaka relax. Kahit nakakapagod umakyat pag narating mo naman yung tuktok parang mawawala yung pagod mo sana one time maka akyat din ako ng bundok. May mga officemate akong mountaineers gusto ko sanang sumama sa kanila kahit minsan lang kaya lang baka di ko kayanin, hehehe. Pero one time sasama ako sa kanila lalo na ngayong may pormal na silang grupo, ang Kamandag Mountaineers. Sana umakyat sila ng bundok na pang newbee lang para makasama ako, hehehe.

Kamandag Mountaineers is a group of responsible people who loves to preserve environment. Kamandag was form last October 17, 2007 when we first climb Mt. Sembrano. We’re just three back then. Ako(Thots), Albert and Randy.

Sa mga gustong sumali puntahan nyo lang yung profile nila, may mga tips din dun para sa mga newbee.

Everyone who are CERTIFIED Mountaineers and those who aspire to be a Mountaineer as well as yung mga Nature Lover are welcome to join.

Bob Ong's Red Book - Mac Arthur

Last time nabili namin yung bagong book ni Bob Ong na Mac Arthur sa Power Books Makati. Medyo dramedy ang atake ngayon ni Bob Ong dito sa kanyang red book. tungkol ito sa istorya ng apat na magkakaibigan na napagkaitan ng magandang kapalaran at patuloy na pinaglalaruan ng pagkakataon. tinalakay din dito kung pano sila nag struggle sa bulok nilang buhay kung pano silang patuloy na nakipaglaban sa masalimuot na buhay at kung panong lumubog ang iba sa kanila dahil nagpaubayang kainin ng maling sistema.

Kung sa mga unang libro ni Bob Ong nasasalamin natin ang ating sarili dito naman sa Red Book nasasalamin ang tunay na mukha ng Pilipinas, ang kahirapan.

Kung lugmok ka na talaga sa mga bagay na nakasanayan mo mahirap talaga magbago ng mabilisan. Kailangan talagang maging seryoso kung magbabago tayo, kung minsan pa kailangan pang makaranas tayo ng matinding trahedya para lang magsilbing taga pag paalala sa atin na mayh oras pa tayong magbago at hindi pa huli ang lahat.

Kung kaya lang siguro ng New Jersey plastic surgery nabaguhin pati ang buhay natin masaya sana. Pero hindi kaya ng plastic surgery baguhin ang buhay at pagkatao natin hanggang pisikal lang ang kaya nitong baguhin. Ikaw, kailan ka mag aa “I shall return” sa matinong buhay?

bukas sasamahan ko si fionixe sa makati, may aayusin kasi syang importante. tapos pupunta kami sa Power Books, titignan namin yung bagong book ni Bob Ong, nalimutan ko yung title eh. kung kakayanin baka bumili na rin kami ng isang kopya, maghihiraman na lang kami, hehehe. after nun punta kami ng ViraMall sa Greenhills para tumingin ng mga old school na laruan tulad ng G.I. Joe, transformer at kung ano-ano pa. may clearance sale daw eh, baka may mura, yung tipong piso lang isa, bibili agad ako ng marami, harhar.
