Symptom(s): When creating a restore point and/or enabling/disabling System Restore in Vista you were prompted with the following error message: “Cannot create a file that already exists (0x800700B7)”
Solution:
Delete the registry key “SR” under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\Microsoft\Windows\SystemRestore\
Note: Doing this will remove any previous restore point you have created.
